For the best diet
fitness, it's necessary to realize that the popular low-calorie
plans may not be the best for you. Both aerobic and weight lifting exercise
need the nutrients that come from food, and a starvation diet will make
you feel so pooped that you can't do any exercise at all.
For true fitness,
your diet should include lots of green salads, steamed vegetables and
beans, and the portions should be large enough to make you feel satisfied.
For snacks, make sure you eat plenty of fruit, because fruit gives your
body the nutrition that helps build a strong immune system. A healthy
body doesn't just look good on the outside - it works efforlessly on
the inside too.

While you're on your diet
fitness experts agree that daily exercise is essential. At least 20
minutes a day should be spent on walking or other aerobic exercise.
And for an extra weight-loss boost, include weight lifting exercises
three or four times a week. The extra muscle mass you gain from simple
strength training will help you burn fat even while you're resting.
So remember, diet and fitness go together to build a strong, healthy
body.
